The answer is Trichomes. 

Trichomes are the crystalline material on cannabis that produces the medicinal and euphoric side effects we feel when we consume the plant.  Aka it’s what gets you high. 

The trichomes are produced during the latter part of the growth cycle. Trichomes reside in the resin glands and are the pieces of the cannabis plant that produce cannabinoids and terpenes otherwise known as the “miracle molecules”.
